CHATHAM AGROUND

Capt. Vancouver’s escort vessel, the brig Chatham is aground on a mud bank inside of Camano Island in Puget Sound on June 2, 1792. Fortunately, it was calm and pleasant weather and the Chatham was floated off with the tide that same evening.
